About AHFM

After Hours Family Medicine was founded in 2010 by Dora Richardson to address a gap in the healthcare of her patients.  Dora realized that every day families struggled to get into the doctor on the doctor’s schedule, cope with problems that came up after hours, and manage the costs involved.  She worked in the clinics started in various drug stores and other retail locations, but those were very impersonal and lost the caring side of healthcare.  Her solution was to open a true family practice where families could go from birth throughout their lifespan and receive the kind of care they needed.
